The ChemDAQ Data Acquisition System (DAQ) is a PC-based computer software system that provides continuous collection, display, analysis, and storage of exposure readings from multiple monitors simultaneously. This integrated system helps to monitor immediate and long term exposure of the monitored gases.

  • Check all connections and power including the Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS). Make sure that they are turned on and that no circuit breakers in the device itself are tripped.
  • Verify that the wall AC source is on and that a circuit breaker has not been tripped. Verify that the power cord has not come loose or fallen out of the back of the computer/monitor.
  • Verify that the video cable is connected to the monitor and computer and is not damaged or loose.
  • Verify that the monitor is turned on and that the power indicator LED is on.

This happens of the sensor exchange process is not completed. Go into the setup screen ( the default password is 5661 ) and end the sensor replacement to clear the message.

  • This can be caused by a loss of communication with the area monitor. Check the connections at the back of the computer and communications interface box.
  • Verify the wiring between the area monitor and the computer.
  • Verify that the area monitor is up and running correctly. Check the sensor installation as this is a typical cause for this type of error. Reseat the sensor on the area monitor and see if this clears the error.
  • If these items do not clear the unit error message please contact Technical Services.

This is typically a problem with the data storage on the thumb drive. Please contact Technical Services for assistance.

  • Verify that the printer is plugged in and turned on. Verify that the USB cable is connected between the computer and printer.
  • Make sure the printer is not out of ink.
  • Verify that the computer sees the printer and that the drivers are installed and up to date.
